How Many Games Is a Round Robin?
Every entrant plays every other once, so N teams play N × (N − 1) ÷ 2 fixtures. Doubling up for home and away doubles that.

In a bracket, one loss can end your tournament and the draw decides who you meet. In a round robin, everyone plays everyone and the standings decide it, so a single bad game does not knock you out and the result reflects the whole season. Many events run both: a round robin group stage first, then the top finishers into a knockout bracket.
Whatever your competition says. The default is football's 3 for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, but you can change all three. Basketball and volleyball leagues often use 2/1/0, pub and club ladders frequently score 2/0 with no draws at all, and a games night is usually just 1 point per win.
Points first, then goal difference, then total scored, then name. That is the tiebreak chain nearly every real league uses. The table is recalculated from the fixtures every time it loads, so correcting a result you typed wrong immediately corrects the standings too.

From 2 up to the 600-fixture limit, which is roughly 35 teams in a single round or 24 playing home and away. Fixtures grow quadratically, so past that a round robin is genuinely the wrong shape for the event and it wants groups feeding a knockout bracket instead.
