Leaderboards
A leaderboard is a ranked list of participants sorted by score. Scores update in real time across all connected viewers.
When to use a leaderboard
- Sales competitions and rep rankings
- Classroom reading challenges and gamification
- Fitness and step count challenges
- Hackathon and contest standings
- Gaming tournaments and esports rankings
Creating a leaderboard
- Go to your dashboard and click New Board.
- Select Leaderboard as the board type.
- Give your board a name (e.g. "Q1 Sales Leaderboard").
- Click Create and your board is live immediately.
Adding participants
Type a participant name in the input field and press Enter. They appear on the board instantly with a score of 0. You can add as many participants as your plan allows.
Updating scores
Click on a participant's score to edit it. The leaderboard automatically re-sorts by score, and all viewers see the change in real time. No page refresh needed.
You can also increment or decrement scores with the +/- buttons for quick updates during live events.
Score bars
Each participant gets a visual score bar that fills proportionally to the highest score. This makes it easy to see relative performance at a glance, especially on TVs and projectors.
Tips for great leaderboards

- Update frequently: The more often scores change, the more engagement you get.
- Use colors: Pick a primary color that matches your brand or event theme.
- Share the link: Let participants check their own standing from their phones.
