How to Score Flip 7
Scoring happens once, at the end of each round, and always in the same order. Busted players skip all of it and score zero.
- 1
Add your number cards
Face value, 0 to 12. Only players who stayed or were frozen score.
- 2
Double them if you have x2
The x2 doubles the number-card total and nothing else.
- 3
Add your modifiers
+2, +4, +6, +8 and +10 go on after the doubling.
- 4
Add 15 for a Flip 7
Seven different numbers ends the round at once and earns the bonus.
| Player | In front of them | Working | Scores |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ana | 3, 7, 9, 12 and +4 | 3 + 7 + 9 + 12 = 31, then +4 | 35 |
| Ben | 5, 8, 11 and x2 | (5 + 8 + 11) × 2 | 48 |
| Cruz | 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, 11 | 34 in cards, then +15 for Flip 7 | 49 |
| Dee | 6, 9, 12, then a second 9 | Bust | 0 |
What Every Card Does
On your turn you flip one card or stay. Stay to bank what you have; flip a number you already hold and you bust. The action cards are how other players push their luck for you.
Number cards 0–12
Worth their face value. There are twelve 12s, eleven 11s and so on down to one 1, plus a single 0: the higher the number, the more likely a duplicate.
x2
Doubles your number cards for the round. Not the modifiers, not the bonus.
+2, +4, +6, +8, +10
Added to your round score after doubling. They never cause a bust.
Freeze
The player it is given to banks their points and is out of the round.
Flip Three
The player it is given to must take the next three cards, one at a time.
Second Chance
Keep it in front of you. The next time you flip a duplicate, discard both instead of busting.
Scoring a Big Table
Flip 7 plays well with a crowd, and a crowd is where the paper sheet falls apart: one scorekeeper, ten players asking “what am I on?” every round. Put the game on a live board and every phone at the table shows the standings, or cast it to the TV for a party.
Playing a Flip 7 night over several games? A leaderboard can keep the season: one row per player, wins or total points across every game.

Frequently Asked Questions
At the end of each round, every player who did not bust adds up the number cards in front of them. If they have the x2 card, that number-card total is doubled. Then any + modifier cards are added, and a player who flipped seven different numbers adds a 15-point bonus. A player who busted scores 0 for the round. Scores carry over from round to round.
No. The x2 doubles only the number cards. Add the +2, +4, +6, +8 or +10 after doubling, and the Flip 7 bonus after that. A 7 and a 12 with the x2 and a +4 is (7 + 12) × 2 + 4 = 42. The round calculator on this page applies the cards in that order.
200. The game does not stop the moment someone crosses 200: the round is finished first, and then whoever has the highest total wins, even if two or three players are over 200. The sheet above marks the game over once the round in which someone passed 200 has a score for everyone.
You flip a number you already have, so you are out of the round and score 0 for it, modifiers and x2 included. Your total from earlier rounds is safe. A Second Chance card saves you once: discard it along with the duplicate and keep playing.
15 points for collecting seven number cards with seven different values. Flipping the seventh ends the round immediately for everyone, and the bonus goes on top of your card total, x2 and modifiers.
Yes. The 0 is a number card, so it counts as one of your seven different numbers, even though it adds nothing to your score. In the calculator, tap 0 like any other number.
