Score Buttons
Score buttons let you update scores with a single tap. Customize the button values to match your scoring system so you can make changes quickly without typing.
Where to find score button settings
Open your board in the editor, then go to Settings > Score Buttons. This tab controls which buttons appear next to each entry in the editor and how scores can be updated.

Adding and removing button values
Each score button adds (or subtracts) a specific value when tapped. By default, boards come with common increments like +1 and -1. You can customize these to fit your needs:
- Add a button — Enter a positive or negative number and add it to the list. For example, add +5 for a game where each goal is worth 5 points, or +100 for a fundraising board tracking donations.
- Remove a button — Click the remove icon next to any value you don't need.
- Use negative values (like -1 or -5) for deductions or penalties.
The buttons appear in the order you add them. Keep the most-used values first for faster scoring.
Show / hide score buttons
Toggle Show Score Buttons to control whether the quick-score buttons appear in the editor. When hidden, you can still update scores using the inline set-score editor or by editing the entry directly.
Hiding buttons is useful if you prefer to type exact scores rather than incrementing, or if you update scores via the API.
Show / hide set score (inline editor)
The Set Score option provides an inline text input next to each entry where you can type an exact score value. Toggle Show Set Score to show or hide this input.
This is handy when scores jump by irregular amounts — for example, entering a fundraising total of $1,247 rather than tapping +1 repeatedly.
Tips
- You can enable both score buttons and the set-score input at the same time for maximum flexibility.
- Keep your button list short (2–4 values) to avoid clutter in the editor.
- Common setups:
+1 / -1for simple tallies,+1 / +2 / +3for games with variable scoring,+10 / +50 / +100for fundraising. - Score button changes apply immediately — no save step needed.
